The source of inspiration is that which is all around her; yet shaped and formed by the qualities that inform the artist's eye: 'the atmosphere of colour' or 'the depth of space'. Depictive art is the language that Hélène employs to speak to her audience, not so much in order that we may see what she sees, but that we may feel what she feels.
