Harry Meerveld (1945) draws his inspiration from his immediate environment. He concentrates on the still life, sometimes combined with interiors or views of landscapes. Although he uses a realistic approach, it is important to him that the process of painting is still visible. He has worked in watercolour, but recently works exclusively in oil.
